Nate Bernstein is a California licensed attorney with more than three decades of professional experience representing clients in complex real estate, business, and commercial matters. Nate has extensive experience handling quiet title matters and disputes involving ownership, competing claims to real property, title defects, title fraud, liens, and other issues affecting real estate interests. His experience includes litigating quiet title and equitable and prescriptive easement issues, as well as matters involving lis pendens, deeds of trust, escrow disputes, and real estate fraud. His broader practice encompasses real estate litigation and transactions, including landlord-tenant disputes, commercial and residential real estate matters, partnership and ownership disputes, partnership asset liquidation and dissolution, and related business litigation. His background also includes three years as Vice President and Senior Trial Attorney at Fidelity Title Insurance Company, where he handled complex title and real estate matters involving quiet title, mechanics liens, escrow liability, lender liability, and deed of trust litigation. While at Fidelity, he represented major institutional lenders, including Wells Fargo Bank, Bank United, and J.P. Morgan Chase. He has handled more than 40 trials in California.
Nate earned his Juris Doctor from Golden Gate University School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with Department Honors, from the University of California, San Diego. He has received advanced training from the National Institute of Trial Advocacy and has authored and spoken on quiet title actions, real estate title fraud, lis pendens, and other real estate issues for attorneys, property owners, and real estate professionals.
